A record crowd attended the December 7 Jul Luncheon at Oakland Hills Country Club. Featured speaker for the event was Bo I. Andersson, VP Global Purchasing & Supply Chain of General Motors, who was introduced by Consul General Lennart Johansson.
Urban Lundberg, SACC Chairman, welcomed the members and introduced new members: Fifth Third Bank, Scott Janson, DF Young, Bloch Land Development, Ingrid Farquharson, Martha Nielsen of SAS, John Holmquist, and Willow Hagans. Silver members for 2006 included Consulate General of Sweden, Miller, Canfield, Saab Automobile USA, Speedshape and US Defense Services. And Gold members were - ABB, Atlas Copco Tools & Assembly Systems, Butzel Long, Clark Hill, IKEA and Securitas Security Services USA.
Max Koss, newly elected SACC Detroit treasurer, reported net income in the $5,000 range - well above the small loss forecast in January. Most of this income was a result of increased membership.
